  • DECEMBER 2006

    • 1 December 2006, State –v- Alex Gumbhi and Mehmood Khan, in the Pretoria Commercial Crime Court for analysis and further investigations. Postponed again to 11 December, see below. 
    • 1 December 2006, State –v- Mahboob Ahmed, Sana-Ulah Khan, Mahumad Rashiol, Masir Iqbal, Mahumad Naheem and Mahumad Amir, in the Pretoria Commercial Crime Court for formal bail application. Bail granted with reporting conditions, case postponed for further investigations to 19 January 2007. 
    • 1 December 2006, State –v- M E C Iqbal, in Pretoria Commercial Crime Court, for further investigation. Matter postponed finally to 15 January 2007 for disclosure and trial date. 
    • 5 December 2006, State –v- Z and S Essack, in the Johannesburg Commercial Crimes Court, for plea. Matter postponed to 15 December for formal plea. 
    • 5 December 2006, State –v- unknown suspect, street vendor arrested in Evander Magistrate’s Court for further investigations and analysis. 
    • 6 December 2006, State –v Shamsodien, in the Pretoria Commercial Crime Court, for argument on lawful arrest or plea. Case withdrawn on basis of previous judgement against arrests ito Counterfeit Goods Act. 
    • 7 December 2006, State –v- Azizhulhag Ebrahim and another, in the Pretoria Commercial Crime Court, for proceeding with TRIAL or change in plea. Advocate absent, no change in plea noted, case postponed to 23 – 25 April 2007 for proceeding with trial. 
    • 11 – 13 December 2006, State –v- V Georgiades of Cybermedia, in the Wynberg Magistrate’s Court, proceeding with TRIAL, accused cross examining State witnesses. Accused admitted to Grootte Schuur psychiatric ward for observation, reinstated advocate, TRIAL postponed to 19 – 24 February 2007. 
    • 11 December 2006, State –v- Alex Gumbhi, in the Pretoria Commercial Crimes Court, for submission of analysis. Analysis submitted, postponed to 15 January 2007 for disclosure and trial date. 
    • 13 December 2006, State –v- Andries Meiring, in the Pretoria Commercial Crime Court, for possible plea or disclosure and trial date. Case postponed to 31 January for formal plea. 
    • 15 December 2006, State –v- Z and S Essack, in the Johannesburg Commercial Crimes Court, case withdrawn against Z and S Essack and importer charged, pleaded guilty on all charges of importation and sentenced as first offender to a R10 000 fine and a 5 year imprisonment suspended for 5 years.

    Criminal Cases

    • 2 November 2006, State v- Ayaz Ahmed and Petrus Erasmus of Active PC, in Pretoria Commercial Crime Court, pleaded guilty and sentence handed down in amount of R5 000 in respect of first accused and R10 000 in respect of second accused.
    • 3 November 2006, State v- S J Engelbrecht in the Johannesburg Commercial Crime Court, found guilty and sentencing postponed to 30 November 2006.
    • 6 November 2006, State v- Faried Davids in the Goodwood Magistrate's Court, postponed for TRIAL to 27 March 2006.
    • 7 November 2006, Sate v- Aysha Symons in the Kempton Park Regional Court for TRIAL. Case withdrawn due to lack of further investigations requested on docket. Civil settlement on product reached, delivery up of all seized DVD's to SAFACT for destruction.
    • 9 November 2006, State v- Z and S Essack, in the Johannesburg Commercial Crimes Court, postponed for plea to 5 December 2006.
    • 13 November 2006, State v- M E C Iqbal (nee Strydom) in Pretoria Commercial Crime Court, first appearance for formal bail application after arrest on evening of 9 November 2006 at home burner lab in Montana area, Pretoria. Bail postponed to 14 November 2006, bail granted in amount of R20 000 and a condition that she has to report to Kameeldrift Police Station every Wednesday between 0800 and 2000. Case postponed for further investigation to 27 November 2006. On 27 November 2006 due to heavy court roll, case postponed to 1 December 2006.
    • 16 November 2006, State v- Sipho Sangweni and Glynnis Lincoln, in the Johannesburg Commercial Crime Court, for disclosure and TRIAL date. Case postponed to 27 March 2006 for TRIAL or guilty plea at any other arranged date.
    • 20 November 2006, State v- Rogers Phlugo, in the Kempton Park Magistrate's Court, appearing for formal bail application, street vendor arrested in North Rand Road. Case postponed for further investigations and filing of analysis.
    • 22 November 2006, State v- Bandeker, in the Cape Town Magistrate's Court, charges of fraud.
    • 24 November 2006, State v- Khan and others, appeal against decision of Magistrates Wessels on Counterfeit Goods Act, filed.
    • 27 November 2006, State v- M E C Iqbal (nee Strydom), in the Pretoria Commercial Crime Court, postponed to 1 December 2006 for further investigations.
    • 27 November 2006, State v- Mahboob Ahmed, Sana-Vuah Khan, Mahumad Rashiol, Masir Iqbal, Mahumad Naheem and Mahumad Amir, in the Pretoria Commercial Crime Court for formal bail after being arrested during a home burner lab in a residential area near Montana. Postponed to 28 November 2006, then postponed to 1 December 2006 pending further investigations on the status of the accused.
    • 28 November 2006, State v- Andries Meiring, in the Specialised Commercial Crime Court, Pretoria, for finalisation of charge sheet and plea. No plea arrangement could be reached and case postponed to 13 December 2006 for plea bargain or trial date.
    • 20 November 2006, State v- Hong Kong Mei Yan and Qing Zweng Xiang, in the Balfour Magistrate's Court, matter postponed for submission of analysis.
    • 30 November 2006, State v- S Seedat, in the Johannesburg Commercial Crime Court, for finalisation of charge sheet and Section 5(4) application. Postponed to 27 March 2006 for TRIAL.


    Convictions

  • OCTOBER 2006

    Criminal Cases

    • 2 - 6 October 2006, State v- Vasilles Georgiades, in the Cape Town Regional Court, trial proceeding with accused putting his case to Court. Accused fired his advocate and the trial resumed with Mr Georgiades conducting his own defence. As a result, the State's case was re-opened to enable Mr Georgiades to put his own questions and version to them. Going nowhere slowly, case postponed to 11 13 December 2006 for calling of another 2 State witnesses.
    • 4 October 2006 State v- Khan and others, in the Pretoria Commercial Crimes Court, application for condonation and leave to appeal against decision on interpretation of Act. Condonation and Leave to Appeal granted
    • 23 27 October 2006, State v- Azizhulhag Ebrahim in the Pretoria Commercial Crimes Court, trial proceeding bar possible change of plea to guilty. Case postponed to 7 December 2006 due to the Muslim religious holidays.
    • 24 October 2006, State v- Alex Gumbi and Mehmoob Khan, in the Pretoria Commercial Crimes Court, first appearance after raided at a Toy Shop situated next to the Bird Sanctuary in Wonderboom on 14 September 2006. Case postponed to 1 December 2006 for further investigations and submission of expert analysis.
    • 24 October 2006, State v- W Hattingh, West Rand Toys and Games, an active home and formal business operator from the West Rand, appearing in the Johannesburg Commercial Crimes Court for TRIAL. State Witnesses and charge sheet not ready, case postponed to 7 February 2006 for TRIAL, finalisation of charge sheet and disclosure prior to this date.


  • SEPTEMBER 2006

    Convictions

    • 5 September 2006, State v- Theresa & Carel van Wyk, Johannesburg Specialised Commercial Crimes Court. A house operator who were charged in terms of the Counterfeit Goods Act for making for sale copies of films on DVD format. Pleaded guilty and was sentenced to a fine of R6 000 or 3 months imprisonment with a further 18 months imprisonment suspended for 5 years.
    • 20 September 2006, State v- Mushtaq, in the Pretoria Commercial Crimes Court, pleaded guilty in terms of the Copyright Act and paid a fine of R10 000.

  • MAY 2006

    Court Cases

    • 2 and 3 May 2006, State v- Emmanuel Leso and Shaheed Raffee, Johannesburg Commercial Crimes Court, TRIAL. Due to a lack of evidence against these parties and no proper evidence to link Germaner and Saley to this case, the State withdrawn the case preliminary from the trial role for purposes of proper further investigations and consultations.
    • 3 May 2006, State v- Charles v Vuuren, Pretoria Commercial Crimes Court, appearing for possible PLEA. On 3 May Charles van Vuuren was found guilty of trading with fake DVD's on 765 counts. This case was postponed again to 31 May 2006 for sentencing. On 31 May he was sentenced to a fine of R15 300 payable in full. This low sentence was due to mitigation circumstances lead relating to his personal situation and that he is a first offender, shown remorse and did not waste the Court's time or State's money with a trial.
    • 3 May 2006, State v- J H Jordaan, VanderBijl Park Magistrate's Court, first appearance in terms of Films and Publications Act. He pleaded guilty and was sentenced to a fine of R10 000.
    • 5 May 2006, State v- Hussain and Khan, Pretoria Commercial Crimes Court, Possible PLEA. They pleaded guilty for trading in fake DVD's, was found guilty as charged in terms of the Copyright Act. The sentencing was postponed to 10 May. On 10 May Khan was sentenced to R5 000 fully suspended and Hussain was fined R10 000, of which R5 000 was suspended. Furthermore they were found guilty in terms of the Immigration Act and currently awaiting deportation to Pakistan.
    • 5 May 2006, State v- Farooq and Khan, Pretoria North Magistrate's Court, 3rd BAIL HEARING, arrested at Montana Traders Square on 6 April 2006 for bribery, corruption and dealing in counterfeit DVD's and PlayStation games. Bail was denied and the matter was postponed to 23 May. On 23 May, their application to be granted bail was again denied and the matter postponed to 29 June 2006 for possible plea.
    • 5 May 2006, State v- Chinese national arrested at Cyrildene for being in possession and trading with DVD's, thousands of items seized. BAIL hearing. On 5 May bail was granted in the amount of R20 000 and the case postponed to 17 May 2006 for further investigation. On 17 May 2006 the case was postponed again for further investigations, date to be confirmed.
    • 11 May 2006, State v- Maborak, Cape Town Magistrate's Court, appearance for postponement for trial. Case postponed until 21 June 2006 for analyses of computer equipment seized.
    • 11 May 2006, State v- D C Daniels, Cape Town Magistrate's Court, appearance for results on computer analyses. No update was received on this case.
    • 15 19 May, State v- Cybermedia and Vasilles Georgiades, Wynberg Magistrate's Court, TRIAL PROCEEDING, hopefully final week. The State closed its case and the defence brought an application for dismissal in terms of Section 174 which they LOST. The case was postponed for the testimony of the accused until the week of 2 6 October 2006.
    • 15 May 2006, State v- Unknown identity, employee at Stalls B1 and B2 Montana Traders Square, arrested during a raid on 12 May. Bail granted in an amount of R5 000 and case postponed for further investigations.
    • 19 May 2006, State v- J Shamsodien (x2 case dockets on Dec 2005 and Feb 2006 raids), Pretoria Specialised Commercial Crimes Court, postponement for analyses. Both cases postponed for further investigations until 27 June 2006.
    • 19 May 2006, State v- J H Lee (x2 case dockets on Dec. 2005 and Feb 2006 raids), Pretoria Specialised Commercial Crimes Court, postponement for analyses. Both cases against him postponed until 27 June 2006 for further investigation.
    • 22 May 2006, State v- Theresa and Carel van Wyk , Specialised Commercial Crimes Court, Possible PLEA. The case was postponed for further investigation and submission of analyses due to appearance of an article clerk on their behalf until 13 July 2006.
    • 22 May 2006, State v- Samina Seedat , Johannesburg Commercial Crimes Court, appearance for disclosure of docket and setting of trial date. Case postponed to 12 June for disclosure of the docket and setting of trial date
    • 22 May 2006, State v- J S Engelbrecht of Playland Games , Johannesburg Commercial Crimes Court, appearance for submission of analyses statement. Due to the fact that the analyses was not completed in time the case was postponed to 5 June for submission. On 5 June the complainant was still not in the position to submit the analyses and the case was FINALLY postponed to 20 July for TRIAL.
    • 29 May 2006, State v- Cybermedia and Vasilles Georgiades , Cape Town Regional Court, 2nd appearance for postponement for final investigation. Case postponed for further investigations and submission of analyses statement until 28 June 2006.
    • 29 May 2006, State v- A Mohamed , Johannesburg Commercial Crime Court. Case postponed sine die due to the non-service of the Summons. New date to be advised.
    • 30 May 2006, State v- 13 unknown owners of Montana Square , first appearances for raids conducted by SARS and CCU. Warrants of arrests issued for details as per lease agreements submitted to Court. All cases postponed sine die.

    • State v- Fransisco Mara Cossa , street vendor caught by Metro Police in Alberton, pleaded guilty in terms of the Copyright Act in the Johannesburg Commercial Crimes Court and was fined R 1400
    • State v- Hakim Mansoor pleaded guilty in terms of the Films and Publications Act in the Durban Commercial Crimes Court and was sentenced to R1 000 or 6 months imprisonment, half suspended for 5 years
    • State v- E Sturks , pleaded guilty in Mithcells Plain Court and was sentenced to a fine of R5 000 fully suspended for 5 years

    • Ster-Kinekor, Nu Metro and Sony Computer Entertainment Inc v- Dean and Mathilda Alexander in the High Court of Pretoria, civil settlement by consent and delivery up.


  • APRIL 2006

    Criminal cases

    • 3 April 2006 - State vs Glynnis Lincoln and Sipho Sangweni, Johannesburg Commercial Crimes Court, first appearance and application for bail after arrest on Friday afternoon, 31 March 2006 for theft and fraud relating to the leaking out of TSOTSI and MAMA JACK master’s from Video Lab. Bail was granted in an amount of R20 000 for Sipho Sangweni and R30 000 for Glynnis Lincoln. Case was postponed for further investigations until 21 June 2006.
    • 5, 6 & 7 April 2006 - State vs Azizhulhag Embrahim and another, Pretoria Commercial Crimes Court, trial within a trial regarding raid procedure and constitutionality of procedures follow to determine whether evidence are admissible. State succeeded to defend all allegations and won the trial within the trial therefore all evidence seized admissible and merits of case can proceed. Defence requested the Court to change their plea to guilty. Case postponed until 23 October 2006 for trial, if no plea bargain can be reached with State and complainants before the time.
    • 6 April 2006 - State vs Samina Seedat, Johannesburg Commercial Crimes Court, appearance for legal representation and expert analysis. Case again postponed until 12 April, also for legal representation and analysis report. On 12 April, analysis submitted and the case was postponed to 22 May 2006 for disclosure of docket and trial date.
    • 10 April 2006 - State vs Cheu Yau and Liu Le, Johannesburg Commercial Crime Court, first appearance for BAIL, arrested on Friday, 7 April in Fordsburg with over 3000 DVD’s for purposes of trade. Bail denied, case postponed until 12 April. On 12 April BAIL DENIED again, postponed until 19 April for possible plea.
    • 12 April 2006 - State vs B Khan and Hussain, Pretoria Commercial Crimes Court, bail hearing judgement. Bail was refused, case postponed to 5 May for plea.
    • 12 April 2006 - State vs Adrian Lee, Boksburg Magistrate’s Court, arrested at East Rand Traders Square for trading in fake PlayStation games, out on bail. Appearance for transfer to Pretoria Commercial Crimes Court for trial and submission of analysis statement.
    • 12 April 2006 - State vs S J Engelbrecht of Playland Games, Johannesburg Commercial Crimes Court, postponed until 22 May 2006 for analysis statement.
    • 12 April 2006 - State vs Willie Hattingh of West Rand Toys and Games, first appearance in Johannesburg Commercial Crime Court after raid for DVD’s and PlayStation games conducted in Krugersdorp. Warrant for arrest issued by Magistrate as accused was not present at Court despite Summons issued and reminder submitted. Case postponed sine die (until accused found)
    • 12 April 2006 -  State vs Adrian Lee, appeared in Boksburg Magistrate’s Court, after being arrested in February for trading in PlayStation Games, case transferred to Pretoria Commercial Crimes Court for 28 April, first appearance.
    • 18 April 2006 - State vs Vasilles Georgiades (Cybermedia), Cape Town Regional Court, a new case subsequent to 3 raids conducted on his premises end of November, postponement for further investigations or trial date. Final postponement until 29 May 2006 for setting of trial date and finalisation of investigations.
    • 19 and 20 April 2006 - State vs J I Marks and Entertainment Zone, Glenanda, TRIAL. Accused changed its plea to guilty and was found guilty, sentenced, see below.
    • 19 April 2006 - State vs Cheu Yau and Liu Le, Johannesburg Commercial Crime Court, pleaded guilty and was found guilty, sentenced, see below.
    • 20 April 2006 - State vs Kim Lim, Pretoria North Magistrate’s Court, arrested at Stall D68 Montana Traders Square for trading in fake PlayStation Games, first appearance. Warrant for arrest issued as accused was not present. Case postponed sine die (indefinite until accused is traced).
    • 20 April 2006 - State vs Charles van Vuuren, Pretoria Magistrate’s Court, home operator of Wespark, Pretoria, first appearance. Case postponed to 3 May for possible plea.
    • 25 April 2006 - State vs Bandeker, Bellville Regional Court, airport case, trial for fraud and Customs Act.
    • 26 April 2006 - State vs D C Daniels, Cape Town Magistrate’s Court, TRIAL in terms of Copyright Act and Films and Publications Act. Case postponed for analysis of computer records until 11 May 2006.
    • 28 April 2006 - State vs J Shamsodien, Pretoria Specialised Commercial Crimes Court, first appearance in Commercial Court, postponed to 19 May 2006 for further investigation.
    • 28 April 2006 - State vs A Lee, Pretoria Commercial Crimes Court, postponed for further investigation until 19 May 2006.

    Convictions

    • 11 April 2006 - State vs Edward Damu, Parys Magistrate’s Court, suspect pleaded guilty on charges in terms of the Films and Publications Act for trading with unclassified DVD’s and was sentenced to R1 000 or 6 months imprisonment.
    • 19 and 20 April 2006 - State vs J I Marks and Entertainment Zone, Glenanda, TRIAL. Accused changed its plea to guilty and was found guilty and sentenced to R30 or 3 days per item (1 222 DVD’s and PlayStation games), in total R30 660 or 3 066 days imprisonment. The Court took into consideration in mitigation that the accused pleaded guilty and did not waste the Court’s time.
    • 19 April 2006 - State vs Cheu Yau and Liu Le, Johannesburg Commercial Crime Court, pleaded guilty and was found guilty and sentenced to R10 000 or 1 year imprisonment EACH. The Court took into consideration in mitigation the 2 weeks that they awaited trial in custody in jail.

    Criminal Cases

    • 7 March 2006 - State vs Javed Iqbal, Kempton Park Magistrate’s Court, airport matter, case postponed for further investigations and filing of analysis statement.
    • 14 March 2006 - State vs D C Daniels and W Martin, Cape Town Magistrate’s Court, first appearance of home operator charged in terms of the Copyright Act and Films and Publications Act. Case postponed to 26 April 2006 for trial, Court 14.
    • 16 March 2006 - State vs Aysha Symans, Kempton Park Magistrate’s Court, airport case, postponed for analysis statement.
    • 20 March 2006 - State vs S J Engelbrecht and Playland Games, Johannesburg Commercial Crimes Court, case postponed to 12 April 2006 for further investigation and analysis statement.
    • 23 March 2006 - State vs N Hussain and B Khan, Pretoria Commercial Crimes Court for possible plea or postponement for trial. Accused both still in custody at Pretoria Central Prison since their arrest in February. Bail application brought for Khan and Hussain on various dates throughout March, all failed, again on Friday, 7 April. Bail hearing judgement on 12 April 2006.
    • 23 March 2006 - State vs J Shamsodien, Boksburg Magistrate’s Court, arrested with thousands of product at East Rand Traders Square Flea Market trading in PlayStation and films on DVD format. Case transferred to 28 April for first appearance in the Pretoria Commercial Crimes Court.
    • 27 March 2006 - State vs Samina Seedat, Johannesburg Commercial Crimes Court, airport matter, case postponed to 6 April 2006 for analysis statement. On 6 April case postponed to 12 April 2006 for legal representation.
    • 28 March 2006 - State vs Zubair and Samad Essack, Johannesburg Commercial Crime Court, postponed to 8 June 2006 for trial.
    • 29 March 2006 - State vs Faried Davids and Digi Cell (now Play Cell trading as Cybermedia), Parow, postponed to 27 March 2006 for trial date in Regional Court. On 27 March it was postponed to 7 April 2007 for trial.
    • 30 March 2006 - State vs Azhar, Johannesburg Commercial Crimes Court, trial. Mr Azhar pleaded guilty and was fined R2 000 or 3 months imprisonment with a further 18 months imprisonment suspended for 5 years. When the sentence was handed down, the Magistrate took into consideration as mitigation the fact that the accused spent 5 months in prison awaiting trial.
    • 31 March 2006 - State vs T U Uwa, Randfontein Magistrate’s Court, street vendor arrested, postponed for analysis statement.
    • 31 March 2006 - State vs W Molelekets, Randfontein Magistrate’s Court, street vendor arrested, postponed for analysis statement.
    • 31 March 2006 - State vs C David Sithole, Randfontein Magistrate’s Court, street vendor arrested, postponed for analysis statement.

    • 3 March 2006 - Sony Computer Entertainment vs JS Lee, obtained final order by consent and delivery up of all goods for raids conducted in past 3 years.

    • 10 February 2006 - State vs Adrian Lee, Boksburg Magistrate’s Court, first appearance for bail subsequent to arrest at East Rand Traders Square for trading in fake PlayStation games. Bail granted and case postponed for further investigation until 28 April 2006
    • 20 February 2006 - State vs S J Engelbrecht of Playland Games, Johannesburg Commercial Crime Court, first appearance of a home operator, making and selling fake DVD’s and PS games. Case postponed for further investigation until 20 March 2006
    • 20 February 2006 - State vs Miso, Alberton Magistrate’s Court, appearance in terms of the Films and Publications Act, case postponed for further investigations
    • 20 February 2006 - State vs Faried Davids and Digi Cell, Parow Regional Court, case finally postponed for further investigations until 29 March 2006.
    • 24 February 2006 - State vs Naveet Hussain and Barbar Khan, Pretoria Specialised Commercial Crime Court, first appearance for bail and charges in terms of the Copyright Act, Tsotsi fakes involved, subsequent to arrest in Pretoria on 22 February. Bail opposed and application postponed to 2 March. On 2 March, postponed again to 3 March. Bail denied and case postponed until 23 March for further investigations.

    Convictions for February

    • 6 February 2006 - In Umzinto Magistrate’s Court, Sajid Ali Muhammed was sentenced ito Films and Publications Act to R3 000 or 120 days imprisonment for first count and R1 000 or 80 days imprisonment for second count.
    • 17 February 2006 - In Swellendam Magistrate’s Court, Mr Mohamed Ali pleaded guilty in terms of the Films and Publications Act and was sentenced to R1 000 fine for two counts.
    • 24 February 2006 in the Durban Commercial Crimes Court, Praganathan Venketas was found guilty and sentenced R3 000 fine or 1 year imprisonment.
    • 10 February 2006, Heidelberg, Cape Magistrate’s Court, S Mohammed was found guilty in terms of the Films and Publications Act and was sentenced to R1 000 fine or 1 year imprisonment with a further 2 years imprisonment for second count, fully suspended for 5 years.

    Civil Cases

    • 7 February 2006 - Ster- Kinekor and Nu Metro vs John Sotiralis and 5 others, postponed sine die to prepare for recision of judgement handed down in 2005.
    • 9 February 2006 - Ster- Kinekor and Nu Metro vs Michael Gareth Davies, obtained a civil settlement made an order of Court for delivery up of all seized goods and costs in the amount of R20 000, to be paid in instalments of R5 000 each month until fully paid up.
    • 3 March 2006 - Sony Computer Entertainment vs JS Lee, obtained final order by consent and delivery up of all goods for raids conducted in past 3 years.


  • JANUARY 2006

    • 16 - 20 January 2006, State vs Vasilles Georgiades, Wynberg Magistrate’s Court, Cape Town, trial proceeded. State finished with its main witness evidence in chief, witness currently under cross- examination.
    • 20 January 2006 - State vs Mr Bandeker, first appearance in Bellville Court after being arrested for importing 40 000 DVD’s through Cape Town International Airport.
    • 23 & 24 January 2006 - State vs Riaan Carstens of Entertainment Zone, Johannesburg Commercial Crimes Court, trial in terms of Counterfeit Goods Act, caught various times trading at Bruma Lake Flea Market.
    • 23 January 2006 - State vs Joseph Ivan Marks t/a Matrix Entertainment Zone, appeared in Johannesburg Commercial Crimes Court, case postponed for trial to 19 and 20 April 2006.
    • 23 January 2006 - State vs Ali Asif, arrested at Camelion Village Flea Market, is appearing for plea bargain.
    • 25 January 2006 - State vs Cybermedia and Vasilles Georgiades, first appearance in Cape Town Magistrates Court for raids conducted on all three his shops in Cape Town.
    • 30 & 31 January 2006 - State vs Emannuel Leso and Shaheed Raffee, trial commencing in Johannesburg Commercial Crimes Court following a warehouse bust in Edenvale
